In 2019, approximately 4 million Americans checked into 14,500 rehab centers and completed their addiction program only to relapse shortly thereafter. In the past 10 years, our government has spent over $7 billion with little success. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), recidivism (aka relapse rates) exceeds 90 percent. Even faith-based programs struggle with high recidivism. Why? We believe that addicts who have recovered need a longer sanctification program to fully complete their transformation. Therefore, our program combines local nonprofit organizations, churches, and residents, in order to truly provide a life that wins.
There are huge benefits to joining the family of God. Namely, the hope that arises in a believer who is promised eternity in heaven is powerful. However, life on earth is still very challenging, especially for addicts who recover and then return to their old stomping grounds. Indeed, God does promise new believers an abundant life, but he does not say that it will be easy.
Community Transformation Partners (CTP) is a body of believers called by Jesus Christ to redeem families in crisis and help them obtain a life that wins. This new life is taught by expanding a individual’s relationship with God and with others. Thus, community volunteers are critical to our success. Essentially, local churches, nonprofit organizations, business leaders and numerous everyday people just like you share their life with those in need. In other words, we believe that a life that wins is best acquired in a natural environment by interacting within meaningful relationships.
There are thousands of organizations on the front-line serving millions of family members in crisis. They work hard to help family members with their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. While enrolled at one of these organizations, individuals battling with drugs, alcohol, homelessness, and domestic violence receive love, support and rekindle hope. Some find freedom, but most who are given a second chance in life, see it disappear shortly shortly after graduating. In America, recidivism exceeds ninety percent (90%). This means that most families struggling cannot find a way out. Instead, they experience an endless cycle of addiction. CTP was established to help them discover a new identity in Christ, and show them how to discover the abundant life promised by Jesus..
