CTP strives to continue the process started by Christ-centered rehabilitation programs. In other words, to advance the six qualities presented in 2 Peter 1:5-10 (virtue, knowledge, self-control, patient-endurance, godliness, phileo-love and agape-love). We select graduates from faith-based partners, who have already demonstrated their “faith” in Jesus Christ. The next step would be to add virtue, but how does a believer develop virtue? Today, we live in a world saturated with dishonesty and immorality, so building godly character does not happen automatically. No. It must be taught, or as some pastors say, “caught”
An important part of our process is to build low-income, campus housing where residents can develop strong relationships as they identify and cultivate a life that wins. Our campus will be a type of faith community that naturally fosters relationships that validate the abundant life promised by God. Biblical principles teach our men the basic life skills they need to truly experience joy and peace. Second, our campus will allow residents to develop a new mindset by working in a type of ecosystem that teaches them how to find purpose in their life. Off-campus, Christ-centered businesses will employ our men, so that character, knowledge, self-control, and godliness can mature simply by working alongside a spiritually-minded businessperson.
Our plan is to provide a 2-year program so that residents can live in a safe, positive, and encouraging environment. Men will interact with Christ-centered churches, corporations and community residents. The best location would be near those who can regularly participate in the sanctification process.
